I'm sure this has been kicked around but my search was ineffective.
I'm building a 20ga for woodland hunting and been thinking about a reflex sight. What says the DS brain trust?
Reflex or quality front/mid bead set?

I've got a Burris Fast Fast 3 with the speed bead mount system on a SBE2. Works great. Advantage to the speed bead mount is you can still see your bead on the barrel if the battery dies or something else happens. I wouldn't have one mounted on a rail. I'd worry about a battery dying or dropping the shotgun...then what are you going to do in the field?

Re: Shotgun Sights
I've got fiber optic Truglo sights (rifle style open sights) on both of my turkey guns and have never felt lacking hunting a mixture of woods and open fields. That said, I will probably add a Burris FFIII or other reflex style sight to my 20 ga next year for my daughter to use......at least that's what I'll tell the wife.....

Burris also has a great warranty. I somehow bent the frame on my FF3. Mailed it in after season last year, and got a brand new one in the mail shortly after, no questions asked.
