Anybody headed over to Hoover?

For those who are on the fence about it.....GO!!! Great venue in a great area. First class all around. If it weren't for my 3 week old daughter, I would be there with my father-in-law. Went in 2013 during the big year for MSU and again in 2014. Get to see some absolute great baseball. Can imagine they'll be even better this year based on how strong the conference is this year all around.

Isn't this possibly the last one in Hoover for a while?

Possibly, but I hope (and bet it will) it stays in Hoover. I've never been, can't go this year, would like go, and hear great things about it.

I agree. We go every year, but its fairly easy for me since I have the in-laws in B'ham and I have a number of clients in B'ham that I need to go check on every once in awhile. BUT, I have had numerous friends come over and all agree that parking is a breeze (relatively speaking), hotels are close and B'ham has some of the best restaurants in the country (see a recent Garden and Gun article). I think tickets are 10 bucks. That gets you 2 games.

As for it moving, this is the final contract year for Hoover. The talk is moving it to Memphis, Atlanta, Jacksonville, New Orleans, ect. I hope it stays right where it is.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning and hope to watch baseball every night this week.

I may try to make the Friday or Saturday games, if Florida makes it that far.

From a reliable source, I am hearing Memphis next year. Possibly, Nashville.

I live in Hoover. If anyone is over and wants some pointers on food, etc. let me know. Work had me pretty busy, so I won't be at the games weekdays. Might be coaxed out for a beverage after hours though. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Well that sucked... 14 inning loss to LSU.

I wish it had taken 18 innings.

For some...the rally possum is still around though. I never would have thought LSU comes back to win that game after the first inning.
