The Day Has Finally Come To MSU

When i was a a student at MSU, I used to sit around and dream of safe spaces on campus I could retreat to. There were times I didn't feel safe when other students stood around in between classes and talked about hunting and football.
Freaking give me a break! I am so sick of this crap. I hope MSU stands their ground. Ole Miss bowed to the pressure and it hasn't stopped. Some things at Ole Miss probably needed to go, but once you give in to one it doesn't stop.

if not at the drill field, at the president's house...i haven't been to the heart of campus in a while to know if it is still flown along with US flag at the drill field. you would think the protest would be at the flag if it were flown at the drill field, instead of the steps of a building named after the university's first president, sd lee (not robert e.).

I didn't realize going to college with a bunch of white folks was so stressful. The insinuation that there is a racial problem at MS State is a crock. Are there racist students at State, yep.... However I would say that a large percentage of the racism is from the Blacks, but that will never be admitted that there is even such a thing. I'm sick of hearing how oppressed they are by White people, when they won't take steps to help theirselves by staying in school, getting jobs, quit having ten kids you can't afford etc..... Just sick of it..... Take that shat somewhere else cause it's a tired ass argument.
And last but not least and it goes for kids who are white, black, tan, blue, and purple..... If you quit acting like a reggin, you won't be treated like one. And that goes for all races.... Be responsible and quit making excuses for failure when it's your responsibility to make your own way... Quit with the excuses. This world is tough, and it's against everyone..... You, me,...... Everyone of us... Decide to succeed and you will.

At least it's peaceful protesting... I read the students' list of demands. It strikes me that they are asking for special treatment rather than equal treatment. I want them to feel equal and welcome but I don't want to give them a crutch. If they put the work in, they will be successful. They don't need special status on campus.

"supposedly"...well, what had happened was....there were 2 groups protesting: flag protesters and the lucky 7, and "supposedly" the lucky 7 joined the flag protest with their demands protest on the steps of lee hall to appear as a larger group protesting the demands cause on the web site photo.
