All of us will face losing our four legged duck hunting buddy at some point. I lost a great one recently and I know how Jason Waddell(avery123) feels. I hope I did Avery justice with my writing.

Waddel, I'm sorry to hear about Avery. Since I don't do phasebook, i didn't know.
Last month I had to put the family dog of 12 years down. As hard as that was, I can't imagine how hard it is to lose your hunting buddy!

Thank you very much Rocky for taking the time to put this together and paying tribute to Avery and all of our hunting buddies that have come and gone. You said it best on the phone saying that no man will understand that bond between a good hunting/companion dog until you have lost him or her. She was truly my best friend. My next dog will have some big shoes to fill. Thank you again for a great write up.

Great read on an awesome dog. I have never met another one like her. Those two went everywhere together. She has probably seen, done, and met more people that most people ever will. One of a kind man. So sorry Waddell.
