Co-workers daughters at Delta State said there is flooding in Cleveland. Water up to their front door and when a car drives down the flooded street it pushes a wave of water that goes under the door into the house.

Big question is what is all this going to do to Steele Bayou with the Big River headed up north of 40' and no stopping in sight and with the gates already closed at Steele Bayou. That water level could rise quick fast and in a hurry!!

A friend at Lake Chicot just sent me a pic of a large gator, camped out on their boat dock....must be running them outta hibernation.

I've poured 10" out of my gauge. So far, it hasn't gotten in any homes on my street. Did get some water in the storage shed. Dog was an inch or two away from having a wet bed.

I live at the end of Dunleith Rd, it is deep! Bogue Phalia is as high as I've seen. Over 12" rain on the Fratesi gauge so far.

My neighborhood had to be evacuated yesterday. Got a boat and got my wife out. Had 4-5" in the house when we left and the Sunflower River is still rising. No telling how deep it is now. Swift current going through my neighborhood. It's all surreal to me as I sit here not able to sleep this morning. It has completely messed with my head like I didn't think anything could. Gonna try to go back this morning and get some more stuff out with the boat.

Man that sucks. You happen to have flood insurance? I know a lot of places flooding right now are not normal flood areas.

Structures only, no contents. Several of my neighbors had none at all. I never thought I'd ever say this, but we will have to explore whatever options we have to try to find help through FEMA. I keep telling myself that my family is safe and I've only lost stuff that can be replaced, but then the thoughts of everything still to come hit you. As I said, it has my head messed up, I can tell that my mind is not right, but I can't make the fog lift. The sleep loss is becoming difficult to deal with. Everytime I try to go to sleep my mind starts racing thousands of thoughts through my head at the speed of light. Sitting here on the side of the bed at 3:40 am typing this. By the way, the Sunflower is still rising and severe tstorms are predicted for us tonight.
