Legal advice/question

My dad recently lost his job today.

Response to why he was being let go was they need someone younger and better computer/electronic knowledge then what he is able to do. He knows how to do the stuff and learned it, just not able to do it as fast as they need. Meaning they are going to electronic cash register and some systems they run on equipment and drivers.

To me this seems like age discrimination as he is 60 yrs old. He has been at this company for 15 yrs or so. Am I correct in this? Helped it grow into what it has become as well from running the shop everyday and building customer base that they have.

The company is also in TN. Any legal advice you would have your welcome to PM me or give me someone's info to reach out to.

Thanks guys!

There is not a plaintiff's side attorney practicing employment law with more experience than Jim Waide in Tupelo, MS. He has won more jury verdicts than I can count and all 6 of his appearances before the United States Supreme Court. Tell your dad to schedule an appointment to discuss his options. Discrimination law isn't something attorneys dabble in or where you want the local jack of all trades attorney. There are a handful like Waide that handle employment cases exclusively and they are the go to guys.

I would also recommend Louis Watson and Nick Norris in Jackson. They do excellent work as well.
