Guys I have got a question. My father wants to duck hunt this year. As a senior citizen he isn't required to have a license, but is he required to have a Wma permit and duck stamps? Thanks for the help

This one time Mississippi resident Exemption Card for Seniors 65+, will help support wildlife Conservation in Mississippi. The Senior Exempt License includes the following privileges: All Game Hunting, Freshwater Fishing, Archery/Primitive Weapon/Crossbow, and WMA User Permit does not include Saltwater Fishing or Waterfowl Stamps. This card is only valid with proof of Mississippi residency.

This is $5 and voluntary....gotta do HIP w state duck stamp. Need $25 Fed stamp.
Can get Salt water lifetime for 7.92$ I think. Gotta do Hip and stamps each year. Magic age is 65!

The need for a WMA permit is not cut and dry. I have bought the exempt card, due to disability, for several years. Attempted to register for draw hunts and the system balked at me. Called Jackson and was told I must purchase a WMA permit card. Explained I have registered for several years without a problem and was told, "if you want to register for the draw, buy the $15.00 permit." I asked for an answer as to why I was able to do it for the past several years with not problems and got the exact same quote again.

I say this just so you know beforehand that the $15.00 permit will be needed if you intend to register for any draws.

That's just great gotta figure out the rules rather than be told....them sum bitches!!!!! Not that that would even matter in my case...Black balled since '10...You are exempt but not really...Charging money for a lottery again, illegal/descrimination to seniors...

Tried again tonight to just see if I missed something. I didn't. The way the law is written we shouldn't have to worry with the $15.00 or the $5.00 fee to register for the draw. It's a computer software problem and Jackson isn't worried about it. Buy the $15 permit or stay home was the insinuation. Whether a person is exempt or not makes no difference.

Maybe a road block threat to get huge officer prescence like in the past....3 years too late. Seniors prolly won't forget to sign duck stamps but looks like wont be many there.... My daughter got me a flat bill for a disguise maybe darken my hair put a bone in my nose
