In the market for some new ones. Any suggestions? Really like the vortex. Looking for something to hunt with 10-42. What are y'all using? Thanks

I bought a pair of Swarovski 10x42 EL's

best money I have ever spent. I didn't want to drop a substantial amount of money then a few years later wish I had had the best of the best

I have had some nice $500+ leupolds - out of the box they are great - but after 2-3 years of heavy use they just don't compare to the European bino's

I would not think twice about buying Vortex Razor HD's

Have the 10 x 42 Vortex Viper HD and love them. Vortex has the best warranty out there period. Can't go wrong in my opinion.

Buy the best you can afford with Leica being #1, Swarovski #2, Zeiss #3, etc.......You won't regret it. I have Zeiss and after wearing one pair out I sent them back to be re-worked. They had discontinued that model so they sent me a brand new pair of HD's in the same size for $200. They are $8-900 glasses, so I thought that was very fair.

Same here. Can't justify dropping a grand on binoculars although I know there is a quality difference. Just don't use them enough to justify the cost. For the $$, the Viper's are excellent.

+ 1 on Steiner. Germans know how to engineer and build optics. Their engineering for other stuff ain't bad either.

Dont mess up and get the nikon monarch 7's. im not impressed. Next one's I get will be swarovski. I've spent way more money on $300-$500 binos than a good pair of swaro's would have cost

that's the same boat I was in. I bought the EL's and I have enjoyed them more than any other hunting purchase.

New company by the name of Tract is about to take off. Heard they are fantastic optics at reasonable prices. Direct to consumer and there is a free trial period. Check them out.

I bought a pair of Meopta 10x42HD this year. Very impressed so far.

Supposedly as good as the Swaro 10x42EL, but half the price.

I suggest a 50 objective...I use 12x50 regularly, but have a pair of 10x42 when hunting in dense cover
