Not sure if you guys know about it, but last weekend in Starkville there was an accident that killed a gentleman and hospitalized 2 of his 3 boys that he had with him in the truck. Earlier this week the oldest of the boys passed away from his injuries. I don't personally know this family but they go to school with my kids. The youngest is same age as my son and is still fighting for his life. The oldest was a grade above my oldest daughter.

Today at lunch they gathered the 4th, 5th & 6th grade classes and assembled them in the gym at Starkville academy. Tim Tebow came
to the school and talked to the children to lift their spirits and to pray with them. He also took some pictures with the 3rd child that wasn't injured in the wreck. The media can say or do what ever bad things they want to this guy, but to me this fella is about as stand up good as they come. Megan Mullen (Dan's wife) talked to him about the Gentry family and he came out of his own good will and heart to speak to these kids that don't yet have the understanding of how or why things like this happen. Great guy and the definition of Class Act.

Just thought I'd share. And pray for this family and the boy that is still battling.

Somthings are more important that being an NFL quarterback. Tebow seems to be a good guy and seems to understand that..

Prayers to the family..

I worked with the man and patronized his business as much as I could. Tremendous guy. Please pray for his family.

Tebow, straight up, 'good guy'.

You won't hear much about that visit in the media because it doesn't fit their agenda. They have been waiting for tim to mess up ever since college and he hasn't budged!!! Now had he been caught with a hooker or knocked out his girlfriend he would be headline news!!! I have always been a tebow fan from day 1 because he stands strong and has values and no matter how much people pile on him for faith he stands tall. The world would be a LOT better off with more tebows but again the media doesn't care for that story.

Often times I am cautious of people that appear that good of a person but Tebow has always seemed to be genuine he is not one that has used his Christianity to promote himself or his agenda as some do. Just imagine how many more Tebow stories like this are out there that never made it to the media.

Dodds was my cousin, my son is 10 and played with JD, Jack, & Josh. I worked at the Golden Horn in college so when I say this hits home, it literally did. I can't begin to put into words the amount of grief and absolute sadness this situation has brought about. It's completely devastating to me so I can't imagine what Gina, Jack, and God willing, Josh, will go through from now until. This little ray of happiness Tebow brought only elevates his status to me as someone we should all strive to be like, grown or not. He gets it. God Bless Tim Tebow and God Bless the Gentry's. Tell your wives, your kids, your mom & dad, siblings, friends, anyone that will listen, that you love them and mean it. Hold that hug a little longer and squeeze a little tighter. You just don't ever know...
