What is the lightest, fastest, most packable climber?

Comfort is of no concern because I refuse to accept that being comfortable whilst sitting perfectly still 30 feet up in freezing temperatures is feasible.

I take that back; extra comfort is nice in order to mitigate for the circumstances described above.

The stand will be used almost exclusively on public and will need to be packed in and out every day. If I ain't still hunting then I want to be able to hang a stand and hunt when the desire strikes me (which is rare and a good reason you should respond to this thread with your stand of choice because I will probably be selling it to you before the spring for pennies on the dollar).

I have an ol man vision that I've had for 17 years... I'm used to it... I can pack it up fast and be gone in less than a minute... It's all I hunt out of.... However I borrowed a summit from a friend this year and it is much more comfortable, but I haven't grasped the concept of packing it up good yet.... Hard to beat the OLDER ol man stands!

I recommend Treewalker. Open or closed front.......I have both. They are all aluminum and made in Tn. You have to order them from their website though, but I had mine in about 3 days. Very safe feeling and have a high max weight rating.

Lone wolf is a the most packable stand out there I think.

I don't think its the most comfortable though - and it is super light.

I can't get bring myself to buy one - they are high $$$

quacker, I hear ya on summit. I had a summit viper that was light, quiet, secure on the tree and comfortable, but it was like trying to pack a set of bedsprings; drove me crazy.

summit viper elite sd. 16 pounds, and take the mesh seat off and use the replacement seat. it's super lightweight, comfortable to pack/sit and safe to climb. that's the best climber out right now imo

As I sit in my Summit Viper SD, I will say this- I don't care what exactly you're looking for in a climber, I'm confident this stand will meet your needs. In my opinion, if you don't invest in one of these you're missing out. I absolutely love this climber...its light (20 lbs), it grips the tree well, it's safe, and it's extremely comfortable.

i have summit, api, ol man, and tree walker..... hands down treewalker is my favorite. Super light, packs easy but that usually doesnt matter to me, grabs the tree better than any stand out there, and pretty dang comfortable once you get the seat broke in after a few sits

X-Stand Sit N Climb is exactly what you're looking for.

I tried an X-Stand that a friend of mine had and I will never do it again. They are light and packable, but climbing with it was a terrible experience! I was really hoping that it would work out, but not for me.

Comfort is on the tail end of the needs for me. At the top of the list is pack-ability. I assume weight correlates with this feature, usually?

What about the Summit Open Shot?

I really like the lone wolf hand climber, as it folds flat, but dayum that thing is expensive.

I have two Summit Open Shot, an Ol Man regular aluminum multi vision, and had a Lone Wolf Alpha Sit and Climb (sold it last Oct).... MY evaluation, the best stand considering all the relevant categories is the Ol' Man for and pack in and out type climber.

The Summit Open Shot is probably most comfortable and it's not too heavy but it's bulky and not nearly as versatile as the others.

The Lone Wolf is VERY light and VERY packable and VERY quiet but it was so dang uncomfortable and small that even me (5'7" 165 lbs) couldn't keep that much cash tied up in it when I just couldn't make myself use it.

The Ol Man is very packable with some comfortable backup straps and attention to how to put it together correctly, it's comfortable to sit in and the new designs don't slip on the tree like the old ones, it is very versatile climber for tree types. It climbs good and sits good, it folds flat and it's lightweight as any others with couple pounds.

I keep my Open Shots in locations and only move them rarely from spot to spot, they just are too bulky to carry in and out with a pack and bow and they aren't nearly as versatile for different type trees (you gotta have them on the right tree to be comfortable and level) but when they are on the right tree they climb solid and sit comfortable.

Cut the net off an ol man and put in a summit replacement seat. Still folds flat and comfortable enough for all day sit.

I have had multiple ol man's and love the ease of carrying them and climbing.

The most comfortable stand out there is a Summit Viper. It is however bulky and hard to pack and climb compared to others.

Best of Both Worlds...........Cougar Claw. It is also adjustable while up the tree. Most everyone i know that has one takes the seat of and puts a replacement Ol Man net on it.....makes for a really nice climber
