My brother has given me an old original tree lounge with bow hunting adapter. It needs some work. I need to replace the web sling seat as it has some holes in it and I need to replace the standing platform on bow hunting adapter. I'm thinking my best bet on the platform is thick plywood but I'm at a loss as where to begin looking for material to replace the sling seat. Any input is appreciated on fixes or these stands in general. Looks as if the company is out of business so aftermarket replacement parts are an issue.

Use old trampoline top for sling seat

Baseball back-stop netting, or even an old nylon basketball net, or any type webbing will work just fine....just depends on how heavy your butt is.

Silt fence like you see on construction jobsites. You can double it if need be. It's cheap and tough. You can buy it at Williams equipment. If you have trouble finding some give me a shout, we use it daily. Original bow adapter had 1/2 plywood for base if I remeber correctly. Hope this helps

You have to straddle the seat to climb. I would want something very substantial like trampoline material and I would fold the ends and maybe even put a piece of aluminum rod in it so that the screws will hold. Lots of pressure on the terminations while climbing

Well my butt is pretty heavy which makes me a little worried about taking on this project at all. The trampoline material sounds good if I can find some. I have worried also about the material tearing where it is screwed onto the stand. Thanks for the tips. I will most likely look at the silt fence material as well as it may be easier to find than the old trampoline. Just need to make sure I am well secure by a safety harness when testing it out.
