How important is the HIP survey?

If it's as important as I assumed it was, then the folks in charge need to do a little Q.C. auditing at the Wal Mart sporting goods sections.

This makes the 3rd different Wal Mart I've bought a license at where they decided to skip over the HIP survey after I said, "Yes." All 3 times I had to insist that they put in my answers and the reasoning for the survey.

The HIP survey is very important. We (natural resource managers) agree with you in regards to Quality Control. That has not fallen on deaf ears. I know the USFWS has met with Wal-Mart's management staff on the matter. I hope it improves, but the reality as sportsmen we need to make sure they collect the data accurately. I did the same as you did in the Greenwood Wal-Mart a couple of years ago. They (she) failed miserably. I hope the lady understands the importance of collecting accurate HIP data after I stepped down from my soap box
