It's not, "There were a lot of dove in that field."
It's not, "Those woods hold a ton of squirrel."
It's not, "I glanced over and saw a flock of turkey."
Just because the plural of deer is not deers, it doesn't mean that every stinkin' animal follows the same pattern. Good grief.

Well, I go under the assumption that since there were 12 deer, all I drank was 12 beer.
