Anybody got one? If so, how do you like it? Favorite side by side I have ridden so far. Not you typical old mule.

We have 12 of them for our surveyors in Southeast Georgia and they have all said they are a huge POS! They are driving them in some pretty nasty swampland though.

Wow....was hoping for different news, but I appreciate it. They looked and handled good, but I didn't know much about a Kowasaki. I can see that they wouldn't be mud machines like some of the others at 1,800 lbs.

Woundedduck,
Do they dislike them because they won't take the mud or are they staying broke down?

I was impressed when I drove a demo at the GJCNWTF tourney this year, but that was around Lake Caroline on smooth rolling hills/golf course. Lots of cargo space, 3 adults can fit in the cab, handled and rode like champ compared to our old mule and my Ranger 900. I thought they'd finally made a dang good utility vehicle... Can't speak on longevity, durability, wear and tear, etc.

Thanks guys......they do not look like good mud machines, but more of a utility machine. The older I get the more appealing good steering and riding becomes :D Plus I have a house full of rug rats and it would be nice for them to have a seat other than my lap. It's incredibly hot in July with a 2 year old riding around in your lap!

Having worked every day out of 2 Polaris Rangers, Yamaha Rhino and Pro FXT, my take is:

The polaris is a fragile, heavy, hot-running, overly-complicated POS trot line weight.

The Yamaha is an atv and with a bed, It'll go and do every thing, albeit not with the comfort of the Pro FXT.

The pro FXT will (and does) work in the woods, although it is a bit big. We got the dealer to stiffen the shocks in order to raise it up just a tit-hair, and because it had poor ground clearance with a load. It will haul ace, and handles the rocky terrain of the Ozarks well. I cannot attest to its mud handling ability. I would imagine it is not a mud-loving machine. Everyone who rides on it cannot believe how smooth it operates.

If I were going to be buying myself a machine to go off-road, literally, like for work purposes, I'd buy a rhino. If I were going to use a UTV for what 98% of the folks on this board will use one for, I'd buy a mule. I love that thing. So far, it is the real-deal.

This is so true.

Thanks Reaper.....good info. I was waiting on the Honda 1000 and if they keep one on the floor long enough I would still like to see one, but I felt like the mule was the real deal. It just feels solid.

I am so tempted to replace my Honda 700p with the 1000, for no other reason than, you know, its bigger......

Brookhaven says that they have more people on the waiting list right now than they will ever be able to get bikes for. It might be a while.
