esJay do the workers really want a union? I'm sure some do but what about the majority up there?

some do. the rest "understand" that there's good reason the UAW has lost roughly half their membership in less than 10 years.
the fact that it hasn't come to a vote yet says the majority "gets it".

that's about all i feel comfortable saying on the innaweb.........

I saw Danny Glover was in a new film on netflix that had a budget of about $100,000 it looked like...I guess when you have nothing better to do and can only do low budget films you go protest.

Also what is really funny is in a year those same "student protestors" will be on a news story about how they can't find a job anywhere...they will then be looking at the ground shaking their head in the interview saying they aint no jobs I think its because I am black...I have 5 kids to feed (she just graduated) and i just need something but nobody is hiring.

A good friend of mine has been heading up the fight against unionization at the Mercedes plant in Vance, AL for a few years now. They have managed to keep it out. It's crazy how much the unions try to pressure their way in too. A lot of it is unions recruiting a handful of people and giving them a "voice" to make it look to the outside world like the employees want it when actually the majority of employees don't.

It's amazing the tactics that unions are allowed to employ when trying to get in the door. On the other hand the company that is involved is held to an entirely different standard. In my experience with my old company all locations that unionized resulted in the employees losing benefits and in some cases pay. Negotiations start at ZERO and work up from there nothing is guaranteed.

Unions are like insurance companies, they would much rather collect your check!
