Well I took my 2 y/o son Landon out to my buddy's pond to see about catching a couple bluegill and nab his first fish. We got up Saturday morning and dug up a couple worms from the yard, and packed up. I actually set up my video camera and just turned it on to video the entire trip. We arrived just as it started to lightly rain. It didn't bother him in the slightest. We hooked on a worm and tossed it out. We caught his first one in about 2 minutes. He was excited, but I was probably twice as excited. We caught a couple more before we latched on to something bigger. We were using my ultra-light spinning rod, and knew right away it was a decent fish. Finally, we coaxed the 3ish pound bass to shore and I yanked him from the water. It kind of startled him since I kind of used the tactic a competitor in the bassmaster classic uses to pull the bass out of a livewell to show off his fish. After a second or two I got a big grin out of him and even though I had to use a screenshot from the video of his bass as the only photo evidence, it's a pic I know I'll treasure for a long time.
