I'VE BEEN CHEATING ON YOU GUYS......with another Forum

I have been a loyal member here since 2001, and have never strayed. However, I must confess....

I have been spending much of my free time on another Forum..... crappie.com

It has gotten pretty bad. While I still love chasing ducks, I have apparently found a new love that costs just as much, if not more, per pound of meat. I have bought a new bought, new gear, the whole schmear...I have even sunk so low as to put my duck boat up for sale. I do, however, plan on buying a new, smaller duck boat in the future. But, for now, I must pursue my new love.

I apologize and hope you all will forgive me.

Be careful!!! That "r" at the end is very important. The "g" key is very close to it. I wouldn't want you losing your job over a typo.

Any new and exciting recipes for the triple tail of fresh water? I have always just fried them my whole life. Any new ideas?

Saw a recipe for oven fried crappie. Called for a mix of panko and crushed almonds, s&p, and lemon. Baked for 10 mins. Gonna try it soon.

Also though of some type of taco. Lightly fry or blacken, avocado, cheese, sour cream, pico, and cilantro.

I'll have to catch a few more and try these out. The ones in freezer are about 14 fillets to a bag

Try this dressing on your tacos:
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 cup plain yogurt
juice from one lime
1 fresh jalapeno (finely chopped)
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon dill
1/4 teaspoon cayenne

I beer batter the fish and put red cabbage, tomatoes, and capers on them

I catch way more crappie than dead ducks, member over there also

As for cooking them, try this....

Take crappie fillets, put in cheese cloth tied into a bag, then drop in boiling pot of your favorite crawfish boil for about 5 mins.

Or rub fillets down lightly with bbq sause and grill.
