I bet we could fly a drone over it for free.

Word is if you dont have access to $70mil dont bother. Also the bidding is just a formality and the brother will get the land he wants. As I heard someone say one time, "yo, banker, youre going to need my social in a minute, just dont ask too many questions".

From what I've heard, your figure is missing a zero.deltadukman wrote:Word is if you dont have access to $70mil dont bother.

Re: Five Oaks going up for sale.
70 million may get the timber. Maybe.
With that being said. I got 27.99 and a used 870 to put up. Who's in with me?

So it's expected to bring $50,000 per acre?teul2 wrote:From what I've heard, your figure is missing a zero.deltadukman wrote:Word is if you dont have access to $70mil dont bother.
Re: Five Oaks going up for sale.
I would expect it to sell for north of 70 million when all combined.
Mr. Dunkin is probably sick that the family farm that was started over 110 years ago is being dissolved. Mrs. Tipton may not feel no connection to the land and is just interested in the money? Who knows, but as it was said in the article, it sad it is happening and happening in the manor it is. I wouldn't be surprised if Gaylon Lawrence Jr. doesn't show some interest in the property.

I was talking about the whole thing not just the timber.stang67 wrote:So it's expected to bring $50,000 per acre?teul2 wrote:From what I've heard, your figure is missing a zero.deltadukman wrote:Word is if you dont have access to $70mil dont bother.

$70m works out to $4400k which I would think was a little more reasonable. I'm saying it doesn't go for more than $62m. Who wants to start the pool?

Re: Five Oaks going up for sale.
You only have to put 3 million up front to view the place
It appears as though a guy I know here is representing tipton.
It obviously is a lot of bad blood and a lot of history that is not known to most. Just split it and move on would seem like the simple thing. Just looking at it based on the limited knowledge from the article, it is ashamed they are selling it.
Can I bid on 4 acres?

Man y'all are rich. But then, I'm willing to splurge $5.00 for a Powerball ticket and see what happens.teul2 wrote:Got a half eaten doughnut from the Blue and white and a piece of gently chewed bubble gum.H20 Fowl wrote:70 million may get the timber. Maybe.

Re: Five Oaks going up for sale.
What could possibly be worth 44,000 per acre? The farming? The timber? Cause if somebody is paying that for duck hunting, then $#!+ has gotten out of control.
