2015 Recruiting Thread

Well, the other season's end is upon us. Let's get some discussion about recruiting classes and how they are shaping out for our respectful schools, players you are really excited about, players that will be Southern household names in the next two years, etc.

Well, since no one else seems to want to play...

Donte Jackson, a 5 star WR/CB from Louisiana is set to announce this morning. He is down to LSU and Georgia. I think it is completely up in the air who he commits to at the moment.

LSU is pushing hard for some Ole Miss and MSU targets, including Cece Jefferson 5 star DE, Jamal Peters 4 star SS and Leo Lewis 4 star LB. I don't know that they pull any of the aforementioned three, but Ole Miss could sign at least two of those three.

LSU is also making a hard push for Arden Key, who is a DE prospect that de-committed from USCe a couple of weeks ago. It is going to be an interesting last couple of weeks to say the least in the recruiting world.

Depends on who you read...MSU "insiders" make you believe Peters is 100% locked down and Leo Lewis will end up a Bulldogs. Ole Miss insiders will have you believing CeCe Jefferson is leaning to Ole Miss over Florida, Leo Lewis isn't going anywhere and Peters is a likely flip. LSU insiders will have you believe they are all coming to LSU if Les Miles ask them to and LSU decides they need them. And so many people pay $9.95 to hear/read it...

Arden Key has decomitted TWICE from USCe...seems to be a odd one

Prince Tega broke his leg last night playing basketball...all his scholarship offers still on table, he was very impressed with LSU.

Ed Orgeron's relationship is Cowart and Jefferson is concerning, not sure if he can get LSU a legit look or no...I think Cowart goes to Auburn and Jefferson ends up at Florida or Auburn.

The only Leo Lewis buzz I've seen or heard outside the state of MS has been generated by LSU based media...I think he stays with Ole Miss, slight chance of flipping in state to MSU...I think LSU is outside looking in

BUT, they are all 18 year old kids...anything can happen, innocently or under the table.

I think Ole Miss keeps Leo Lewis and get both CeCe Jefferson and Demarkus Lodge.

Peters will not flip to the Rebels and I don't think he flips from Dogs.

i think Ole Miss gets DeMarkus Lodge...I think they are 50/50 for Van Jefferson...I think it's a Florida/Ole Miss race for CeCe Jefferson right now, but I'm not counting out Auburn yet.

Yep...big get for the Tigers. I think he will likely end up playing cornerback and be a return guy for LSU...similar to Adoree Jackson at USCw.

Heard the Rebels had a huge weekend and may be pushing for a Top 5 class if a couple of commits go their way. Any OM fans care to elaborate?

got commitments from Van Jefferson and Rasool Clemons...got themselves in the mix with Jeffrey Holland and keep things real good with CeCe Jefferson...

From reading everything, Ole Miss guys seems really confident they will keep Leo Lewis and Drew Richmond. Also think they will get a commitment from Jalen Julius. If they get CeCe Jefferson and hold on to everyone committed they'll go top ten. If they somehow pull Jeffery Holland and Ken Norton they'll go top 5.

My Prediction....they keep Lewis, Richmond. I don't think they'll be any surprise signings. Believe they'll get Julius and Kevin Scott...don't expect any defections

I'm not convinced they get CeCe Jefferson. I think he ends up going to Auburn with Cowart and Holland (and yes I believe it's a crook deal in the end, not b/c he doesn't come to Ole miss...but b/c they all do go to Auburn in the end and it's Auburn).

End up with top 15 class.

OM will end up with a Top 10 class, IMO, I think it is just a matter of where in the Top 10.

I'm not convinced they get CeCe Jefferson. I think he ends up going to Auburn with Cowart and Holland (and yes I believe it's a crook deal in the end, not b/c he doesn't come to Ole miss...but b/c they all do go to Auburn in the end and it's Auburn).

We'll soon find out if who can afford the package deal. The minute I start predicting where a youngun will choose to play his college ball is the minute that y'all know I've lost my mind, but y'all have fun. It's fun reading all y'alls "inside info"
with that being said, "I think" the trio stays in the sunshine state.
I would like to have Prince Tega. Despite the injury, he should be good to go by spring.......Plus he has a cool accent & name

I don't think Cowart and Jefferson are a package deal...Holland is part of the whole supposed package too...but Cowart and Jefferson are completely going separate ways now at this point, the package deal thing has faded. Jefferson has been far more Florida/Ole Miss and Cowart seems almost locked down with AU. Holland has been AU/FL and now seems to be considering OM. It's just doesn't all add up to a package, that's an effective troll be a bunch of 18 year olds. I've read a couple things this morning saying, if they all end up at same place, it'll be b/c each chose the same place. I think Cowart is AU, Holland is between UF/AU, Jefferson between FL/OM

i read some stuff that changed my mind after I had posted that; prior to this weekends news I believed the whole packaged deal thing and I thought it was an Auburn packaged deal...BUT then I read something else while ago that worries me even more. I'm thinking more and more he ain't coming to Ole Miss...Auburn might still get him if the package deal is a real thing (but I don't think it is), but I'm afraid it's gonna be a circus for next 9 days and neither Ole Miss nor Auburn will be cheering for CeCe Jefferson in the end.
