What kinda duck is this?

Guy killed it in a slough that is fairly open. It's definitely got some ruddy duck in it? The bill though...do specklebellies hump ducks?

Canvasback bill?

The speculum feathers look like a ruddy or definitely a diver by their lack of coloration...but it kinda has that pintail chocolate to it, and the white "stripe" acts like it wants to make its way into the chocolate head like a sprig.

Somebody got an idea?

I'm thinking kind of a sawbill, chocolate head, stripe going back, golden-ish eye, white speculum with white bleeding up into the wings but with a ruddy body= ruddy duck + merganser

Ho lee shït of all people
Where do you think a goose would hump a duck?
Nevermind don't answer my question because you will type a 6 page response and I won't read past the first sentence
It takes all kinds to make this earth rotate

Surely those will rub off

Oh my lord, get over yourself you illiterate jackazz, I was being facetious on half of it. As far as long responses go, I don't think this place is hurting for less conversation. Since the jbs kid is no longer reading and keeping up, I will digress and withdraw from saying, "Go **** yourself."

As a matter of fact, after I posted that night, I looked online and found out it was a goldeneye hen. I overlooked that possibility while on the road driving back home from work (quickly scanning google images) because it was killed in a buck brush slough so I didn't think of her. But thanks hiballer for the reply, I appreciate cha.

This is the last sentence.

^^^ Golly greenheadgrimreaper, that's all you're going to say!?!?! You've unloaded on ME more than that! I feel sort of let down that there isn't going to be more epic dissertations back and forth between you two so that we can all have an enjoyable afternoon on ducksouth. :P

Why would I get over myself
Less of your bullshït rambling would be great actually
Get a waterfowl ID book and learn it before you buy a license next year or don't take pics of another bird so you look more like an idiot than you do already

Surely those will rub off
