Guys I need some help finding my dad a skinning knife. I don't want to spen no more then $100. He wants a good skinning knofe. Reason why I don't want to spend more then $100. I know in the past me and my sister have bought him 3 and he is bad about leaving them at others camps, in the woods, in tree stands, and places like that and they turn up missing.

Thanks
Blake

Buck 192

its a hunters knife - durable - holds a great edge - doesn't cost an arm and a leg, nice and beefy - best knife for the money that you can get, you can spend much more - but you don't get anymore knife.

This place also carries Dexter-Rusell knifes. I use the fillet knives b/c of there easy to clean, good quality, and a great price. They offer skinning knives, but I don't have any experience with them.

I always though these were blasphemy to an outdoorsman.

if any body has trouble sharpening a knife - just bring it to me.....

I inherited my Grandaddy's old Buck Woodsman. Perfect size for everything. I love it.

I need one of those!!!!!!!!! I use dexter Russell knives as well. I have a couple of pumas in my backpack, but if I am skinning in my shed, I just grab the dexter russells.

To the original poster, look at some of the stag handle puma knives in sportsmans guide. They have some original ones and some "economy" ones as well. They are easy to sharpen and get very sharp!

Spend the money and get him a nice custom knife. I bought my B-I-L a nice L. Rosi with a hand made leather sheath for Christmas........not only does it handle well, but the craftsmanship is superb.

His slogan is: The sting of buying quality is long forgotten with the fine use of a quality product for years to come.......

I think of it similar to buying Swaro optics....buy once and be done with it.
