for a little buddy of mine, Alex Hawkins. His family's home was destroyed by a tornado Sat. morning up around Cleveland. In the wee hours, his dad awoke with the youngest sone in his arms, the mother and Alex were nowhere to be found. The father finally found the mother, alive but badly beaten by debris but Alex was still gone. After rescue personnel arrived, they found Alex in the yard, approx. 75 yards from the house under a pile of debris. The only way they found him was with some type of thermal imaging device, that showed him in the dark under the rubble. Alex is in the PICU in one of the hospitals in Jackson, with several fractures to his skull, bruised lungs, I believe, a broken collarbone and some damage to his trachea. I don't know if all of these details are right, but what I do know is that Alex needs your prayers. Pray also for his father, who has a badly cut foot from the debris and just for his whole family who has had several traumatic events in the recent past. Prayer in numbers does make a difference, fellas.
