Re: Tredwell???
Felt sorry for the kid.
Re: Tredwell???
Glad to get out of oxford with the win, but doesn't feel right to celebrate this one due to this Treadwell's injury.
I've watched the reply several times & don't see anything that Frost did wrong making the tackle. Just looked like a very unfortunate football injury.
Hoping for the best for Laquan. Hopefully he'll heal up & this is not career ending like Prothro in 05'.

Re: Tredwell???
From what I have read it's a different injury than Prothro. It wasn't a compound fracture so it should heal up stronger and the rest was a dislocation. Hopefully nothing was torn and he can rehab and get better. I get all balled up as much as anyone who watches CFB but hate to see a guy from any team get injured like that.eSJay wrote:Glad to get out of oxford with the win, but doesn't feel right to celebrate this one due to this Treadwell's injury.

As for the tackle, it was completely clean. Sure he had the guys jersey from behind but you will never take ALL of the risk out of sports no matter how many rules you make. Just part of the risk and also part of the reason the Pros are paid so much.

This weekends game was one of the best Ole Miss / Auburn meetings on the gridiron that I can recall, definitely the most highly touted. This was my 8th trip to Oxford for this matchup and we are always welcomed by the Ole Miss fans.
Prayers go out for Treadwell and his speedy recovery. It was a tough way to win, but I hope the injury doesn't take away from the overall excitement of two great teams meeting in one of the best college football games of the year.
