The Buckshop in Pocahontas just opened up a second location in Canton.

Buckshop II
162 Feather Lane
Canton, MS
601-859-9701

Same folks that have been running the one in Pocahontas for years. If you are in the area and like getting a good product with your own meat back, check them out.

Yes. I just noticed the sign last night. I was really excited to see this, as the Buck shop sausage I've tried in the past was excellent.

unfortunately for them, due to it being in the same location as the sportsman, they will have to win back some business.

FYI. They will put ground meat in the large 3-4 lb sleeves unless you tell them. Which unless you're making a large meal is too much. They lost my business when they told me they charge extra to put in normal size sleeves. Their sausage is very good though.

Yes it's the same family that runs the one in Pocahontas. Everything will be the same as the original location (product quality, getting your own deer back....). Yes they will be doing Hunters Harvest just like the original location. Give them a shot and I promise they will earn your business.

I haven't seen prices this year but the standard sleeves are 2# packs.

Gotcha, I was guessing at weight. I just knew it was bigger than any other proccessor. Still too big for most meals for my family.

Not trying to get off subject or hijack thread, but anyone know about the other new one (Rack Shack) right up 55 at HWY 16? It's were the old mobile home place was. Place has a little odds and ins r/t hunting, arrows, bows, guns, access... Will be giving them a shot at doing a deer, along with new Buck Shop place
