I have a 7 year old yellow lab that I really want a puppy off of. He's an absolute phenomenal hunting dog, picking up literally thousands of ducks in his 6 seasons hunting. On top of that, he's an even better family pet. Sleeps inside, great with kids, and other than wanting out of his kennel to get into the boat at the landing, I have literally never heard him bark. He, was raised around 4 other dogs so he's great around other dogs as well.
I never got into the hunt testing or anything like that simply because I did not have the time to do it but I can gurantee he is a machine in the duck hole. He's a beautiful color and perfect size being anywhere from 70lbs in the summer and getting down to 65lbs or so during the peak of duck season.
I am just simply wanting a puppy off of him and none of my buddies around here have a yellow I'm too interested in breeding with. Don't care about stud fees or anything like that, just the pup.
I will post a few pictures of him
Anyone got a good yellow female?

Don't count on getting the same dog from your next puppy.

I'm quite sure I understand that. I would just like to have a puppy off him just like when you would go to a breeder, you'd want to know something about the parents, I know my dog. His demeanor and drive to please is second to none as I've been around dogs my entire life, worked at a kennel for two summers, guided at multiple duck clubs, and have plenty of buddies that have dogs, I know a thing or two about them.
Thanks for your unnecessary input and smartazz remark. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.

To make this happen, the stud needs to be in demand. Other than an excellent hunting dog what other attributes will help to sell puppies. Are your friends interested in buying puppies? How many can you sell? What health clearances does he have?
