Congrats Rebels! If you are a Rebel baseball fan and can possibly make it to Omaha start putting trip together. It is an experience you won't forget! Heck it's one of the best athletic events one can attend even if your favorite team is not there.

The spoils of victory. My son is at a post game party at the Super Regional in Lafayette drinking the "victory champagne" pre-ordered by the ULL fans. He just texted me a pic of his full champagne glass.

Congrats to the Rebels. I can't think of another coach that deserves it more than Bianco. Soak it all in Rebel fans.

Congrats to the Rebels...well deserved and over due trip to Omaha. Based on the teams that punched their ticket, I see no reason why they shouldn't win the whole deal.

Interesting comparison:

John Cohen ( MSU head coach)
15 years as a college head coach: Northwestern State 4 yrs; UK 5 yrs; MSU 6 yrs
6 Regionals
2 Super Regionals
1 CWS

Mike Bianco (Ole Miss head coach)
17 years as a college head coach: McNeese State 3 yrs; UM 14 yrs
13 Regionals
5 Super Regionals
1 CWS

-----------------------------------

Cohen played for MSU and went to the CWS his senior year. Bianco played for LSU and went to the CWS his senior year.

Bianco was also an assistant at LSU under Skip Bertman for a few years, including at least one trip to the CWS.

------------------------------------

Not to quibble with the myth, but I think Bianco knows the way to Omaha about as well as Cohen.

Spoken like a true lawyer Po Monk.

Forget the quibbling back and forth and enjoy your moment in the sun Rebs. You have a team with some swag right now and that is what matters most when you are playing in mid-June. It has been 42 years. Do not compare the programs, there is none. You are going to the weakest CWS there has ever been....ever. Two national seeds made it to Omaha. Keep swinging the bat and keep that bullpen as fresh as possible. You have a chance now. Bianco will be your coach for the next 15 years. You may not ever make it back. Make this one count.
