Have heard these are great. Never bought one but thinking about getting a couple. yall like them?

it's the best thing i've found at keeping them away. I actually stole the valve out of a pen torch and "fabricated" it into the bottom of one of the butane cartridges so that i can refill my own... Always have a ton of those pads left over and not enough butane.

I like them too. I've heard people complain about them not being too effective in windy situations and I think I can tell a difference too, but have seemed to solve that simply by setting it about arms reach up wind of me.

Note, that i did not remove the top valve, instead i made a hole the size of the valve i stole from the pen torch on the bottom. I was too worried about that joker leaking and lighting me on fire. With it being on the bottom it will purge the fuel away from the ignition in the event it leaked.

I have often had extra pads left over too. Thermacell started selling a two pack of butane cartridges only. I picked up a couple last year and got my inventory balanced back out.
There will be a day....
