SBE 2 issues

My SBE 2 is having issues cycling the third shell just about every time shot. It ejects the first and second shot perfectly but the third shell usually ejects halfway out of the magazine tube and hangs up on the carrier. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue and how do I fix it.

Spring rusted or worn out in magazine? Replace it with sureshot spring.

Replaced the magazine spring and problem still exists. Thinking it could be the recoil spring in the stock but don't exactly know.

Take that $1500 gun and make it work with a $165 sure cycle. Only way they will preform like they are supposed to.
Cue the Benelli guys rebuttal.....

An 8 dollar spring is all that's needed

in the SBE2. you have to take the spring out of the butt every so often to clean. if you keep the springs clean then you shouldn't have any issues. most people don't take the one out of the butt
the surecycle springs are good products though

Yep, what ScottyLee said ^^^^
It's a pain to take out but must be done. That's the same issue I used to have with mine untill I started taking that spring out and cleaning it. Not sure how much you shoot yours but mine is rode pretty hard during duck season and I usually take that spring out and clean atleast a couple times during season. Then it's taken out again and cleaned at end of season. Just my 2 cents but best duck gun ever made IMO.

Recoil spring, tube and piston in buttstock needs cleaning or replacing. This tube MUST BE MIRROR POLISHED or it will not function properly. If after cleaning when held up to the light it does not shine internally it must be either polished or replaced. This is a must on a Benellie! If you have even one pit or spot inside this tube, REPLACE IT! Every time that buttstock goes in the water this piston, spring, and tube needs to be cleaned. Failure to do so WILL lead to problems down the road including the gun discharging with the safety on! I cannot express the importance of this. It doesn't matter if its the stock Benellie spring and piston or an aftermarket like a Sure Cycle. They will all get dirty and will foul after repeated abuse. This gun has one of the finest actions ever been made and will shoot any load anytime if proper care is taken of it. If you don't know how to remove this tube, piston and spring properly take it to someone that does and learn how. It is the heartbeat of the gun. Different year models come apart differently so you need to know which one you have. Some are simply loctited in place some have plastic seals in them and some simply just have a pin thru em. It takes a 13mm socket and a Phillips screwdriver to take the stock off and a 17mm socket to take the tube apart. Taking the tube apart without screwing the whole thing out of the receiver is the tricky part. You cannot squeeze or hold the tube with anything. For the slightest of crimping, bending, or egging of the tube it will NEVER function properly again till replaced.

Did any of yall read what the guy wrote, or did yall all just wanna start bashing Benellis and talking about needing a sure cycle? He said the shell isn't feeding out of the magazine. And what BR549 wrote isn't anywhere near true. If I took a picture of what the recoil tube in my Benelli looked like at the end of the season, he'd pass out.
As far as your problem goes, I'd try cleaning the magazine tube, spring, and follower good and spraying a little Rem oil in the magazine. If that doesn't solve it, you'll have to consult someone who has had the problem or knows what it's doing, because I've never had that problem out of mine in the 18 years I've shot my SBE1

The gun stays cleaned flawlessly. However it has had thousands of rounds fired through it the 10 years Ive had it.

Well, not to rain on your parade, buy my SX3 is doing about the same thing. However, it hangs up on the carrier?
Taking mine next week to hopefully get it fixed! Ended my season w/ a SBE, and broke the firing pin!
Moral: All will have problems. I love my SX3 thou!
