Yea the wife is hot. I have to say that I don't like this hire. I was very fired up and down right happy when I heard our OC was leaving for Michigan. I know we have had some success, but I really think that the former OC being a West coast guy seemed to focus too much on having a balanced and often times pass happy offense. I'm old school and love the ground and pound approach. Establish the run, stick with it and pass to keep em honest.

Kiffin has been a complete failure in my opinion as a head coach. He had some success as OC at USC, but the stable was already full when he took over and the offense was already in place. The thought of him possibly becoming the head coach some day makes me want to projectile vomit. I hope that Saban knows what he is doing, but I don't like this hire!

One things for sure, BAMA's trip to Knoxville this year will be pretty interesting to say the least...

I agree on them being a little too pass happy at times like the sugar bowl. I am not a fan of Kiffin by any means but I think he may be a good hire. Now he DL coach is gone so we just need to hire Coach O and then should have a ridiculously good crew of recruiters.

My post had nothing to do with Lane - but rather Layla. As for Lane, apparently Saban believes in his offensive intelligence. Far be it from me to figure out if he's good for the job, I'll leave that to the $5 Million dollar head coach we have. He's not being hired as the head coach. He's the OC and the QB Coach and you will likely never see him in front of the microphone at Alabama - much as Saban's other coaches are rarely in front of cameras. He will utilize his time and in 2-3 years likely wind-up as the head coach at Sewanee.

No, not really, Nutmeg. Check the 2014 Qb stats of Blake Sims (a Qb most said could not, would not be the answer). With that bein said, check the offensive numbers, both rushing, passing and total offense.
