Anyone bold enough to give a prediction on the Iron Bowl this weekend? Heavy implications in this one. I do wish (for once) that Auburn was undefeated as this way either winner would have a shot at the BCS championship if they win the SEC conference. Having the crystal ball in the state of AL for the past 4 years is a significant accomplishment. At the beginning of the season I told my dad and some friends that Auburn would be in the hunt. I am a Malzahn fan, just not an Auburn fan.

Auburn does have a chance to play in the NC game if they win the next two. Ohio State could easily lose to Michigan State.

I'll be there to watch one of the best Auburn v. Alabama games of all time Saturday. I turned down an invitation to go to Arkansas so I hope my team takes care of business.

I think Bama comes out in the right mind set and wins fairly easily. 42-17. That being said it is a rivalry game I just don't think auburn has a good enough passing attack to exploit that Bama secondary.

Keys for Auburn to not get blown out:

(1) Need to be able to pass for 150 yards..
(2) Need to rush for at least 150 yards..
(3) Need to put pressure on McCarron...when he is pressured like what State did, he will make mistakes...make him get dirty.
(4) Force at least two turnovers and convert them into points
(5) Keep Bama from rushing for more than 150 yards.

In other words, it ain't gonna be pretty on the Plains.

For the sake of the sec I hope Bama wins. Don't see Ohio st or Florida stae losing. If Bama can stop the run they should be fine but if auburn runs as they did against Georgia it will be interesting. Bama seems to play well when they have to so for the sake of an sec team in the big game, let's hope they prevail.

Bama wins 31-16. While I think Auburn has come a long way and is pretty good, they are just too one dimensional and bamas defense will shut them down. Bama's offense isnt flashy but they score points each and every week and this one will be no different.

Have fn and enjoy. I have been to the sugar bowl and to a national championship game but never to the Iron Bowl. It is on my list but jus have not had the opportunity. I hope the game lives up to the hype.

3 games will be played inside Jordan-Hare on Sat'day.

Special teams = we'll call it even (or perhaps a slight lead in Bama's favor)

Auburn O vs Bama D = even though the Aub's put up good numbers with their rushing totals, they'll fall way short against the best defense in the country. We'll give Aubrun 2 TD's and a Field Goal for 17 points.

Bama O vs Auburn D = Bama's balanced offense and time-consuming drives will drive a nail into the Tiger hopes mid-way thru 3rd quarter. 4TD's and 2 Field Goals for 34 points.

34-17 Alabama.

I say auburn is better than MS State, and they played Alabama pretty close. I say a touchdown or less wins it and a 50/50 shot on who is in the lead at the end.
