No chance. I'd like to think that my alma mater has more character than to hire him.

That being said, I'd take a hiatus from MSU football for as long as he was here.

We would have to do like we did last week every single game this season for that to happen. Mullen would have to have the worst year ever to get fired this season. I don't see him going anywhere unless we don't make a bowl a few years in a row.

+1. My response assumed the OP was talking about 2-3 years from now. Mullen's not going anywhere this year.

There is no doubt that we are trending downward right now. The team looked pretty bad in the Egg Bowl and the Gator Bowl. The scary thing is that we looked like the exact same team this past Saturday. The defense played a little better but there have been zero changes to the offense during the offseason which is disappointing. We are gonna have to beat UK, Ark and Ole Miss just to go 6-6. One slip up and we go 5-7. Do you allow Mullen to make staff changes on the offense and give it one more year? History shows that once the train starts going down hill then you usually can't turn it around by changing a few assistants. Look at the last couple of years for Sherrill and Nutt as examples.

Petrino would be huge mistake. I think Mullen has this year regardless, but he will be sitting on the hottest seat in the SEC come next season. I would take a Tubberville

I don't think BP would even answer a phone call from MSU.

MSU needs a new OC. If they make a change there and still suck offensively, I will be ready for a new HC.

MSU is going to have to do something if they keep trending down and Ole Miss keeps up their current momentum. The dogs can not afford to get to far behind with Ole Miss being on the rise and no signs of slowing down yet.

Mullen himself has stated that play calling falls on him...he is an OC.

Ill talk coach firings after the season rather than after the first "@#$%#" game. Get a grip folks.

I don't think Mullens survives the season if things don't go well, just my .02
