Looks like they found no payment trail....suspended one-half of first game of the season vs. Rice. Only rule FOUND to be broken was signed material UNKOWNINGLY being sold for profit.
Are we gonna get wet?
Re: Johnny Football Latest
Pretty smart in my opinion for him to agree to be suspended for a half for the autograph stuff. That way, no one can go back and punish him again. "He's paid his dues" for the autograph fiasco can now be his line to the media.

Aw, hell.... there goes his season.
Re: Johnny Football Latest
Do you guys think he'd play more than a half against rice anyway?
A man who won't has no advantage over the man who can't.

Game 2 just happens to be one of the most highly anticipated games of the upcoming NCAA football season. Rematch of TAM and the Tide. High ratings. Big $$$$. Did anyone really think that he would be suspended for that game?
He gets one warm up half in the first game.
While I am glad that he will be eligible to play --- one of the most exciting players to watch in the country --- I do think he was given the benefit of the doubt by the NCAA due to the fact that he is a returning Heisman winner and they wanted him on the tube.

Heard this on the radio yesterday afternoon and thought it was hilarious. How funny would it be if he pulled a Terrell Owens and pulled a sharpie out of his sock or the goal post padding and signed a football on his touchdown run on Saturday against Rice?
