Well we are only a few days away!!! 2:00 pm Saturday, first game of the 2013 CWS, hopefully we start things off right!!! When do you think we will hear what the pitching matchups will be??? Any predictions on this field of 8 teams??? LSU has to be the favorite and all 8 are hot or else they would not be here. I like our side of the bracket just because LSU and North Carolina are on the other side. I do believe we have the pitching depth to matchup well with any team there, just a gamble if your guy is going to be on when you put him on the mound. Would love to see us get deep into this thing. Think this team is set up to be strong if we can go long because of the depth.

I think the two sleeper teams are Oregon and UCLA. Neither have stats that jump off the page at you but both have won all year, there has to be something to that.
I'll go with my SEC glasses and say I hope for LSU vs MSU in the championship.

I always pull for SEC schools........not that I am saying we will win our bracket, but I like it much better without Vanderbilt......

Anybody that can beat Vandy should definitely be considered a major threat. I think the field is very balanced, I suspect that is the result of dead bats. Can't wait for it to start!

Yep, and I wish the Rebels could talk Dan into coming back to Oxford.

Ehh, loud out. If Holder wasn't off his game and hanging curve after curve, they'd've never had such a pretty chance. As number 3 natty seeds, I expected more.

LSU had a prime chance at the end last night, but as a natty 4 seed, their head was swoll and wanted to play gorilla ball instead of small ball. Runner on first with no outs, how do you NOT bunt the runner over? Instead they let Rhymes try to hit the ball and he hits into a double play.

It was pitiful to say the least. You got tieing run on first with no outs bottom of the ninth and a guy who is 0/3 on the night. get pitcher in a 3-0 count and you give rhymes the green light. Hell no at least take a strike if nothing else. then bunt. especially a guy like rhymes, he's hit into a bunch of DP's all season long. Out played all game then out coached in the end. Tigers deserved what they got last night. Yeah Im sure somebody can try and agrue giving rhymes the green light, with respect to his batting average but screw that, you cant be bigger than the game. thats all i got, Good luck State!
