Need some advice on where to rent a cabin for 4th of July in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Family of ten. What say you?

But go to vrbo.com and rent them directly from the owners. They have 4 bedroom and 4 bath or smaller...
You can't go wrong with this as the kids will love it and so will you.

We stayed at that place before it was even finished. Definitely a great location. I didn't realize that they had cabins.

Thanks. Yeah its about 7-8 miles out of Gatlinburg close to the arts and crafts community. Its not in a resort setting but more of a mountain private setting if that is what your looking for. I noticed when I looked back that you have 10 people. Our cabin sleeps 8. There are 3 king suites and a sleeper sofa so you would need air mattress for kids. There is a cabin on the hill above ours that sleeps 12 and its a really nice cabin. The name of it is Blue Mountain Lodge on the same web site. Let me know if I can help you anyway.

My bunch is not into much physical exertion on vacation;). My wife did say that she would love to raft, so we might do that. I have been on both rivers that you mentioned and I never get used to that dang frigid water!!

the water IS cold

A little bit north east from there in Maggie Valley is nice we stayed at Waverly Lodge and it was reasonable. Google it. We had 14 and it was plenty of room.
