Another Clinton robbery**Updated - got the thief on video!!!

If anyone missed my post a few months ago about my dad's laptop getting stolen here it is:

Just another robbery story in Clinton......my dad has a seperate building at his house that is his office from home - it also has a workshop attached to it. Last night someone broke into the office, stole his laptop and stole a chainsaw out of the workshop. Their house is off a long, private driveway at the back of a neighborhood - there's my parent's house on the right at the back of the driveway, then to the left is the office/workshop, then my brother's house is at the back left of the driveway. My brother happened to be awake and said he heard his dogs barking at 2am...there are deer everywhere there so they normally just bark at the deer but most of the time he'll get up and look in the yard to see the deer - he didn't get up this time though and he's pissed he didn't.....the computer went offline at 2:03....there were two 4 wheelers there, all kinds of tools/power tools/200k Porsche/tv's - my great-grandad's expensive pocketwatch was right next to the computer....all kinds of stuff they could have gotten but all they got was a laptop and a cheap chainsaw??


Clinton cops finally got the laptop (last month) from the guy's house where the IP was coming from----of course he said he bought it from someone else so nothing happened to him.

Well, last night someone broke into my dad's office again and stole his damn laptop which is the new one he got after the other one was stolen. I think I'm through with Clinton, probably have my house up for sale in the next month, this town will be south Jackson in 20 years. I told my dad to start planning on leaving too - this town has gotten to the point of where you just expect this crap to happen.....either the cops need to get REAL damn aggressive with cracking down on these sorry ass bastards coming into Clinton and the sorry ass bastards that live here or it's over here.....these piece of $#!+ thugs do whatever the hell they want to here.

The crazy thing is they have two outside dogs that bark at anything and to get in my dads office they would have to walk within 25 yards of where the dogs normally hang out?? Makes no sense.
My brother put a deer camera up in a tree after the last time but the batteries were dead.

He's basically retired - was in the oil business and healthcare before. I thought the same as you that someone was wanting something off the computer but the guy they got the warrant on to recover it last month was just some dumb thug.

Just realized a few hours ago they also stole my Foreman I bought brand new two years ago.
I took it by my parents a week ago and had it stored behind my dads shop under a lean to with his tractor. I have both sets of keys with me so they must've scoped it out within the past week and came back with a key. I followed their tracks where they went straight to Natchez Trace which is 50 yards behind the workshop. Called the cops, waited an hour, no cop, called back and they said they had no record of the first call. I was so pissed off I left, told my brother to meet with the cop.
4 wheeler isn't covered so thats 5 grand down the drain.

Clinton is turning into south Jackson as we speak.
Our mayor wanted to spend all the money on having schools that look like Taj Mahals rather than having enough cops. I've heard from multiple people that Clinton is WAY understaffed with cops and doesn't pay enough. Was told Madison cops start out at 40k and Clinton starts out at 24k.

I will have a for sale sign in my yard within the next month.

Our neighbors house was being broken into, we called the law and the dispatcher said "We'll tell second shift to look out for the suspects" ..We tried to intervene but suspects boogied when they saw us coming.

Clinton's got big problems coming.....I think Aultman (the mayor) saw the writing on the wall and that's why she didn't run for re-election.
All the people moving out of Clinton to go to Madison and Rankin county has put a dent in the revenue - there's not enough cops to keep up with all this crap because the money isn't there.

I was pulling out of my driveway Tuesday morning at 5:15 and saw the thug, ghetto sled of choice....late 90's Caprice creeping down the street, then stop and go in reverse down another street....I haul ass up there, they see me then throw it in drive and pass me....I made a loop trying to get to em then they came flying past me but I couldn't get turned around fast enough and lost em - found out this morning a house a couple streets over had their door kicked in that morning about the same time and the bastards tore the place apart stealing crap. I'm sure there's a bunch more houses that were hit in the neighborhood that I haven't heard about.

Damn man you have got some serious bad luck. Hell I got a dog you can borrow. She don't like reggins or too many others for that matter and she does bite, but heck with your luck they might steal the collar off her. I believe it's time to move.

Definitely not limited to where I live or where my parents live but I live near the Nature Center off Dunton Rd (for now) and my parents live off Pinehaven in the back of Spring Lakes neighborhood off Linda Dr.

I was walking up and down the trace last week after my 4 wheeler was stolen following where they drove it and one of my buddies that I haven't seen in awhile stopped to see if I needed help - he told me his truck was broken into a few months back and had a bunch of stuff stolen - another buddy had his car broken into a couple weeks ago and had a bunch of stuff stolen - a lady's daughter that worked for my dad had her car stolen last week - these are just off the top of my head that I have heard about the last couple weeks from people I know, no telling how many have happened that I haven't heard about.

It's getting really irritating - I mean, the end of January the bastards break in my dad's office at his house, steal his laptop, we were able to trace it to a specific address from the IP address in Lovett Town - Cops said they had to get confirmation from AT&T to get a warrant to arrest the thug - after two months they finally get the warrant and bust in but the guy said he didn't steal it, he just bought it from someone and the cops said they believed him and thought he would help to find who really stole it - nothing came of it - a month or so later (last week) my dad's office is broken into again - they steal the new laptop he bought after the first one was stolen and the stolen one that he got back from the cops! And my 4 wheeler - a leaf blower - two weed-eaters - his freaking racing gloves and who knows what else....bout every other day he finds something else missing.

Hell, a week or so ago there was a helicopter flying all over Clinton with a spotlight looking for someone - this place has been slowly going down for the last 15 years but it is going down at a rapid pace now and unless Phil Fisher has a helluva plan to fix it I don't see it turning around. Throw in the fact that Jackson just elected a hard core racist that will do nothing but make Jackson even worse than it already is which will cause more spill over crime into Clinton - there aint much hope as far as I'm concerned.

I don't blame you one bit - you couldn't give me a house in the city of Clinton at this point. I grew up here and have lived here most of my life but I'm done with it.
