good location, close to jackson and new orleans. high democrat population. Look at Parklane Academy.
claim to fame: aircraft carrying Lynyrd Skynyrd crashed there. and Britney Spears lived there for several years growing up.
excellent deer and turkey hunting.

North Pike best public school. You have to live in the district to go. Outside district parklane would be your best option. several descent schools in the Lincoln county area

Like mentioned north pike area, parklane, or lincoln county isn't far. West lincoln or Bogue chitto could be an option, prob alot of ppl like your handle picture. I grew up in lincoln county and when I visit it doesn't appear I miss much. I would think the northern part of the state may have more to offer.

It all depends on what you are looking for in a town. Its a far cry from Olive Branch. I grew up in the area and graduated from Parklane Academy. The beauty of the area is that you can live on 40 acres and still be an easy 20 minutes from McComb. As stated before North Pike was the desired public school district or there is Parklane Academy. I do not know much about Lincoln county schools, but this would be an option as Brookhaven is only 20 minutes away. I am sure Brookhaven Academy is comparable to Parklane.

live in West Lincoln County (you could be within 15 minutes of McComb) and your kid could go to West Lincoln if you want public. I have a nephew in tenth grade at West Lincoln, he's been there since kindergarten, been a great school. If not Brookhaven Academy or Parklane

If you want cheap taxes you could live in the edge of amite county and send your kids to parklane. You would still only be 15 mins from mccomb. North pike schools, bogus chitto and west Lincoln schools are good.

like some have said, if you're wanting to be in Pike Co. stick to the Northern part (Summit area). For public schools, North Pike is by far the best, Parklane is a great school too if you don't mind private. If public school isn't what you want, then I would definitely look to the eastern edge of Amite county, and would be within a few minute drive to town. I have friends with kids at both Parklane and North Pike, I honestly can't say anything bad about either; as far as stuff to do here, it is what it is, much better than when I was younger, but definitely not the biggest place in the state. All in all, it's been a very nice place to grow up/move back to and work, our hardware store is located in Summit if you need anything along those lines (paint,etc.). What company do you work for ?
