Reported that he will be the Offensive Coordinator at LSU. Should help a lot as long as "The Hat" lets him do his job!

If they truly turn offense over to him, that's scary...I'll give credit where it's due, Les Miles hires assistants better than anyone I can think of.

Him and Chavis have a combined 63 years coaching college and pro! It's about time!!! If the offense gets as good as the D....

Yes he will, anybody involved with at least one game will get a ring.

Very interested to see if Cameron will be able to call his own plays. Granted with Miles we will always be a power running team, however going on our third OC in the Miles tenure if he can't "open" the playbook won't spell particularly good things for LSU. Its a great hire IMO.

+1, you can open up the offense and still have a power running game.

I am cautiously optimistic. Les has hired two OCs in reality and inherited another in Jimbo Fisher. In every instance, Les has really made a majority of the playcalls and has designed the offense. I think is all but maybe two of Miles' seasons at LSU, the offense has ranked outside of the Top 50, and most of the time it is ranked closer to 100 than it is to 50.
Supposedly Miles trusts Cam Cameron and that is the basis for the hire, which has been in the works since Baltimore let him go. Moreover, because of their relationship, Cameron has apparently always paid a lot of attention to LSU...he knows the personnel, the problems and hopefully some solutions.
If the defense can remain in the Top 10-15 and CC can get the offense in the Top35-40 nationally, I think LSU has a really good shot at playing for another title. However, as we have seen with Miles, there is rarely any certainty outside of the expected close calls, close games and frustration.
Who knows?

Hopefully, for LSU, his play calling isn't as redundant as his name.

Blame lazy parents for that! I knew a kid back in Sea Scouts named Reynolds Reynolds. Who does that to a kid????
