IP Address Question - need help fast! UPDATE

I've got the IP address of the guy that stole my dad's laptop - it is 107.206.32.183
We've been told it's on Pearl Street in Jackson but they're not sure....I know nothing about this stuff - can anyone take that address and pinpoint a location for me?? Is that possible?

That is a static IP and traces back to Lovett Street in Clinton, MS.

You can give the info to the PD. They can subpena the ISP for the info. From what I see, that IP is owned by AT&T. Hope that helps.
I've had issues with a department up here that basically just told us "we don't know what to do with that". And it was dropped.
Clinton PD is probably a little more up on that kind of thing. Just tell them to subpena the records from AT&T.

Will do - on the phone with the cops now....coming from Lovett town it's not far at all to my parents house...it's not but about 300 yards behind Federation Towers through the woods and my dad found found a pair of jumper cables between his office/shop and those woods.

Well, the detective has requested records / exact address from AT&T so they can get a warrant and get in the house......but he said it could take 5 freakin days to get that info - so know we wait while Tyrone jerks off to ebony porn thanks to the stolen laptop.
The laptop has a camera on it - the computer has that remote log-in on it and the computer guy said he thought he could log in and turn the camera on....not gonna do it but it would be funny as hell to see that....

We had a computer stolen from work once that had a remote login setup on it. Remotes into the machine and ole thug was surfing Facebook. Watched him for a while, got their name, and then locked him out and got the ip.
Security guy and cops went to his house and arrested them and got it back. It was pretty funny.

Still waiting on AT&T to help out....little buddy was on the computer last night at 7.....
Did the thug not notice when yall logged in? That's what my dad is worried about if they did that....
