Because as we all know the way a gun looks is directly tied to how deadly it is and whether or not criminals will use it...

They think we're all stupid, and the general public has given them no reason to believe otherwise.

I thought more intelligent portions of the law were:

Grandfathered in 10 round clips....that you can only now load with 7 rounds.

Singling out the Bushmaster as a more dangerous rifle than others.

I agree that these politicians think we are idiots, but I think situation is exacerbated by they themselves being complete idiots.

Laws are for honest people.... The reason people are called criminals is because they break laws..... Do politicians not understand that these laws will one effect the law abiding citizen that can probably use guns better than half of the police force enforcing them?

If you take guns away from honest people, the criminals will know that everyone is unarmed and take advantage.
