technically no they did not. That is the same rate you have been paying for years. They just reduced it a couple of years ago to help the economy out instead of sending out checks and now its going back to its normal rate.

Thats simply your social security deduction returning from 4.2% to 6.2%. Dont worry, its capped at $117,000 annual income. With consideration to the demands on the social security fund, I can never understand why the 2% reduction was ever considered.

It doesn't matter, the SOB said the middle class wouldn't have their taxes raised, PERIOD. He and the liberal democrats LIED AGAIN!! I will be contributing around $120 MORE per month to the parasites who live off me and I am furious!

Our Tax policies are so flawed it's unreal. I don't want to start anything, but if we really wanted to tax "fairly," it would be a flat tax across the board that EVERYONE pays into.

Technically and politically speaking no one raised taxes they simply let the reduction expire. Rate has not been raised just back to what it was ...gonna be a hard sell to most folks though. Especially the self employeds that pay in both portions.

The tax cut was stupid anyways the goverment is broke why cut taxes for anyone??? They need to go up if you dont like it i'm sure you can move to the middle east and have your wifes and kids heads blown off one day in the street for no good reason at all. And as far as somone complaning about there check being i think they said 40 bucks less come on man you aint ever going to know the difference if you do you need to figure out your income and lifestyle fast cause your way off track. Mine will be way more then 40 a check and i aint complaining.

I beg to differ! Having one son, and twins in the oven, $40 a week is a lot of money to me. I would rather have it now because I know that SS will be a thing of the past if I live long enough to draw it. That's $40 I can't spend on diapers, groceries, or my water bill. Yes that's just $40 mine was a lil more when I got my stub thurs. Not stirring the pot but some of us don't make 6 figures. That's still a lot of money to a dumb broke SOB like myself.
