BECAUSE THEY CAN'T MAKE A TRUCK WITH A WORKING FREAKING HEATER!!!! SHEET MAN!!!! How many times do I have to get this fixed!!!! And I've been driving for 5 YEARS without a working speedometer or gas gauge because to fix the damn thing, they have to pull the dash, FIND THE FOOK'N PART NUMBER, THEN ORDER THE THING, THEN INSTALL IT. WTF! So I'm just supposed to walk for 3 or 4 days while you fix it? WHY IN THE HELL DO YOU HAVE DIFFERENT INSTRUMENT PANELS ON THE SAME YEAR MODEL TRUCKS???? AND WHY DO I HAVE TO REPLACE A $75 PART EVERY FRACKING YEAR TO HAVE HEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND EAT SHAIT DAN MULLEN!!!! YOU SUCK TOO!

yea, I've had nothing but trouble with my 04 z71… The list goes on but most troublesome part was had to put a new motor in it at 150,000… I would get the gauges on the dash fixed so you can watch the temp <<hint hint>>

Clear coat was flaking off my 07 GMC, then the transmission went out. At 77k. Now I drive a ford!

I have my first and last GMC truck. 4wd (low) would come on without notice (have you ever had to drive 5 miles while in low...it sucks), my door lock actuators quit working, the cable broke on my rear sliding window, and when I actually wanted 4wd drive, it would not work. Lucky for me, the 4wd issues were covered under the 80,000 mile drivetrain warranty but not the other issues.

I bought a 2009 duramax and had three small issues with it. All were covered under warranty but I still traded it on a f250 in October. The ford rides much better hopefully it will hold up. The fords diesels have been junk for almost 10 years this one seems to be holding up.

I've got an '05 GMC Canyon where the AC/heater fan started acting up. Would only run on setting 4. Did some reading and there is a pigtail electrical connection behind the glove box that shorts out at the connector. Called the dealer and they wanted $300.00. Ordered the part from GM Parts Direct and fixed it for less than $50. Only problem I've had with 105K on it.

The wife's van is another story. It's a 2005 Buick Terraza and it sucks. Spent over $4k in the last year and half to keep it running. It only has 75K.

I wish you luck with the new Ford. I have two friends with 2011 models, both have had new motors installed already. Another friend has had no issues yet.

Love my Dodge 2500 Cummins.

My 05 Colorado did the same thing...paid around $300 to have it fixed. 2 years later its acting up again. Starts with a gurgling noise. What part did you order?

I believe the shop replaced my fan assy

To Bulldog Ducker - It was supposedly a computer problem. My service light came on as well right before the first time it went into 4wd low. A couple of weeks earlier, I couldn't get the 4wd to work at all.

The resistor is faulty and burn the connectors. GM knows about it but won't fix it. They'd rather folks just replace the thing every year or two. Anyway, the part number on GMpartsdirect.com is pk15218254. The link to the you tube video that shows how to replace it is below.
