This is what happens when you have autumn start early, a warm winter and ducks filtering slowly south. I can remember winters being bitter cold when I was little but the duck numbers weren't as high as they are now. I just wish Canada would quit holding on to the cold air...... But, I also remember hunting, as a boy with my Daddy, in December and ditching my coat and having on a short sleeve under it. I particularly remember hunting in the early 70's up between Belzoni and Cruger and getting in fireants that had drifted into our blind in a flooded bean field. Stripped off nearly naked right in the middle of that field to get them off me. I was sick most of Christmas I got stung so many times! (Wingman, you know the field I was in...has an old oil well by some catfish ponds) So, I'm not sure this is unusual, just aggravating!
Do many of you think, for real, that the weather cycle is changing to a later winter, or is that just some "It's the end of the world" kind of thing?

If you think the weather is odd, just watch local forecast. We aren't breaking any record highs and actually until Dec. 22?? we are still in Autumn. After that first cold snap last year I deer hunted in short sleeves for a couple of weeks.
