as a Bear fan I don't catch many Bulldog games on radio but when I do, I always enjoyed Jack Cristil immensely. What a professional he was. His craft IMO was/ is unmatched. I missed hearing his voice today as we headed out for a 2 hour truck ride to the deer camp. He was a great one. Rest in peace Jack!

I miss him too. Jim Ellis is not very good. And 'Ol Jack is still around, just on dialysis.

That is great. He could tell the listener more about the play in less words than anyone. stay strong Jack!

he made the "lean" years a lil more bearable through humor! "...drive of the game?? my drive back home to tupelo."

He's still kickin, on gameday he walks through the gates like any other fan so I'm told. I can see him being a guy who refuses special treatment. Just another humble ole timer.

Jim is a baseball man...maybe one of the best baseball announcers I have heard, but certainly not a great football radio man.

He walks by our tailgate going to & from the stadium. Saw him right before the game and then in the 3rd quarter when he was leaving.
