No surprises here. No scenario that I can think of would've surprised me in this one just because I really didn't know exactly how good State was coming in. They just need to rebound in a hurry because there are still three very winnable games left. Cannot afford a hangover.

Disappointed, been listening to hype all year about how State was awesome. I didn't see any sign of that. Not bashing, just for a #11 team in the nation to not score until the practice squad was in
Is pathetic. State has some great talent and Bama is Bama. I guess the focus will solely shift to the egg bowl for some stupid reason. Pride comes before the fall and Mullen has showed his true character on the sideline the past 2 games.

Did y'all hear the voice after the fair catch penalty say " that was a chicken $#!+ call"? If so, was it Mullen? I heard it but no one else did, backed up the TiVo and everybody had a good laugh. I guess it was the right call, but lame none the less.

Yeah, I heard it. Pretty sure it was Mullen. Had a laugh, the only one I had during the game.

I thought it was a cheap penalty and personally I didn't mind the unsportsmanlike at the end of because I was cursing just as much. But, like you said, I guess it was the right call. In the grand scheme of things I don't think it had much affect on the outcome

Not trying to make excuses for state because I said before I felt the game would go exactly as it did. To me however it looked as if we couldn't catch a break, start by states first drive and we try field goal and guy blocks it, then punt that hits players back, bama ball. Drive field in 3rd get to one and throw a pick, I mean we never caught the first break. I understand bama is bama and I feel they will win another title but dang we had multiple chances with nothing to show for it. Oh well, I believed we would be 7-1 after last night and we are.

State will win a couple more SEC games. Probably Arkansas and Ole miss. Maybe Texas A&M or LSU

I'm afraid to even look at the boxscore. I'm sure we even got shutout in the moral victory column.

Hope they shake this one pretty quick. They've got an offensive fireball coming to town next week.

8-1 I believe!!!!!

No, Mississippi won the moral victory national championship yesterday with the whole "Bama beat y'all worse than us" thing. I have honestly never seen or heard anything more ridiculous in my life

You don't mind Mullen getting a 15 yd unsportsmanlike penalty, cursing out a ref on national tv? Typical. This is the culture MS state is cultivating. Cocky, no humility, run your mouth, we don't give a damn about anything. Teach your kids that too. State has its biggest opportunity Saturday. If they win, this will be the highest ranked opponent state has beaten under Mullen. Only 2 wins against nationally ranked teams(#20 Florida, #25 Ole Miss). Big test, Hope you guys pull it out. If not, cling on to the domination of a horrible Ole Miss team.

I'm not sure you get the concept of a coach going to bat for his team...good luck the rest of the season.

Nice cheap shot there at the end there reverend.
Right now I'm clinging to a 7-1 record and pretty Fn happy about it.

there was a lot of poor execution on our part, more than "things didn't go our way"...plain and simple. looked like they got psyched out and never recovered.

I totally understand the concept, just thought he went too far pointing his hand in the face of the ref and getting his team penalized. You don't need penalties from anywhere playing the top ranked team in the nation. Didn't mean a cheap shot, I truly want you guys to do good. I would rather play an undefeated state team more than anything. Just expected more last night as I know all of you did. You have every reason to be proud and happy but big test coming up. Predictions are useless in the SEC. We'll see how everything shakes out.
