Tyrann Mathieu and three other former LSU football players have been arrested on drug-related charges, a Baton Rouge-based television station reported Thursday on its website.

Mathieu, Jordan Jefferson, Karnell Hatcher and Derrick Bryant were charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, according to WAFB in Baton Rouge.

Known as the "Honey Badger," Mathieu was a Heisman Trophy finalist last season but was kicked off the team this year after failing multiple drug tests.

Jefferson was the starting quarterback on last season's team, which lost to Alabama in the BCS Championship game.

I am shocked, how could this happen after he went through a grueling two weeks of drug rehab.

He and Jefferson have most definitely taken a turn for the worse! Wow, probably just the man keeping him down and not his fault! Its truly sad, just a waste of God given talent!

What are the odds of LSU taking him back now? I still say pretty good.

zero.

I couldn't have made this story up. Jefferson, too???? IMO, this reflects on Miles. That whole thing about the team wanting to play behind Jarrett Lee in the BCS NC game becomes a little bit more believable now.

It's sad actually. You would think he could have learned from his father's mistakes. Him growing up without his real dad, now he is on track to give his unborn child the same situation he had..... and the cycle continues. He had a clearly been given a second chance by the media and most likely his former team and coaches. I would think that is all gone now, but who knows.

Come'on now, shouldn't Honey Badger get just one more chance? If so....He'll never smoke weed with Willie again.
