Dog ramp for floating pontoon blind

Postby joshfcb » Thu Oct 18, 2012 10:29 am

Good morning all,

I am looking for ideas, pictures, drawings, specs, etc for a dog ramp for floating duck blind built on a pontoon frame. Last year we used a platform made by avery for boats. I didn't like it at all, and on top of that the owner of that has quit hunting.

The blind is located in a flooded corn field, so most of the time we can control water levels. While I don't forsee a problem this year, we do occasionally have backwater issues from the Mighty mississippi that can add an additional 5 feet of drop.

I did a seach and didn't see anything but feel free to direct me if I missed something.

been looking for a picture example of what I want to do on ours. But, put the part that connects to the boat on hinges so it can get out of the water easily when taking the blind in / out. Run it out over the pontoon side, facing the hunt,
You can kind of see one on the blind in this pic.

Here is what I ended up with. Little more spring than what I had anticipated, but I think with some strategically placed t posts I can cure some of that. I will probably set those after we get pumped up to normal level. Obviously a change in water level with render the t-posts void.
