Where is a Southern Baptist Church around Morgan City?

I'm tired of trying to rush home on Sunday's to make it to the evening service and half the time missing it, so I might try just going to church around there and be a duck season member so to speak. So any info on a southern baptist church around morgan city would be helpful. Like attire, do I need shirt and tie of Coat and tie, or just nice shirt and slacks, and what time and where is the service. Thanks,

There is one on the road south of Sidon that links Hwy7 and 49 between the river bridge and Matthews Brake turnoff. There is a swimming pool behind it (landmark). Don't know about evening services. Best bet may be in Itta Bena or Belzoni. Good luck this weekend..I can probably hear ya shootin if you are around Morgan City.

First Baptist - Itta Bena - 7 miles north from Morgan City - night services @ 6pm - wear your hunting clothes, everybody else does.

Yes Anatidae, I know what you mean about catholism, my wife is catholic and from New Orleans no less. The Saturday afternoon and Midnight masses are great for hunters.

Yes, I have met Fred a couple of times. Hunting buddy of mine trained dogs with him a while. That Fred is a piece of work isn't he. But has some dang fine dogs.

Fred and I train dogs together in the off season for the AKC hunt test. Reed Trusy lives up there and he is one hell of a trainer. He has one nice facility and training grounds in Morgan City. If you are up that way and you are having troubles with your dog look him up and he could probrably help you out. Anyway tell Fred I said hello and to let me know if I need to pay his electric bill for him. He goes up there in December and we don't see him again util Febuary!
