NCAA investigation into the Memphis area agent deal.

Yahoo Sports has been there all summer. Those guys are bloodhounds. Grade tampering by school administration, cars, paying high school coaches for players, it's been going on for years and years. Nothing will come out of this, just like nothing happened when BAMA paid the coach for Albert Means. Anyone remember that?

I remember Alabama got hit pretty hard for that. Bowl ban for two years lost a good many scholarships and did not recruit Memphis for a while.

I have now seen a thread on an LSU board. Looks like As The Plains Burn Part II...as such, I'll believe it when I see the NCAA sanctions being reported on Sportscenter. I'll go to my grave believing that Auburn was dirty is getting Newton...maybe not in the black helicopter, tinfoil hat, ATPB way...but they paid for his services (probably just to his dad). Something as tenuous as inner city Memphis schools changing grades for eligibility purposes will slide off of Auburn like water off a duck's back.

Apparently, there have been twitter updates saying that Trooper Taylor was using some booster in some bad way to recruit at least one Memphis area recruit. There is more....supposedly this same person was the money conduit to the Newtons....

I think this investigation is going to be centered around a 7 on 7 team than the changing grades thing. It could get interesting since I think the NCAA is looking for a chance to make a point about these 7 on 7 teams. They do not want them to get out of control like the AAU basketball teams. May be too late for that.
