Six years later....

Hunter, my oldest will turn 6 Thursday. I have been fired up about taking him hunting since the day he was born. I could not wait for the first time he pulled the trigger and connected. Saturday afternoon after about a half of box of .410 shells. and many "dad I'm never gonna hit one's" he finally connected. Although it's just a dove, we celebrated like it was a banded greenhead. And I must admit, I was a little sad that six years have gone by so fast. A hunt I'll surely never forget.
On a side note, the old stevens .410 he's shooting is the same gun I got my first dove with at age 7, and my dad shot his first quail with at age 15

That's great stuff, proud lil fella in that picture! Make sure you get pictures of the two of you together and not just him. I speak from experience

That is great, and he is your spitting image! Shooting his first dove is something neither of you will forget!! Congrats to both of yall!
