The ruling by the Supreme Court today, gives very broad power to the Federal Government under this courts interpretation of the Commerce Clause.

If they can force you to buy health insurance...why can't the force you to buy anything else? Rather you can afford it is irrelevant, and the concept is general they can force you to make decisions that have typically been a "FREE" choice...which could broaden that scope.

The United States operates under the system of Federalism. The tenth Amendment establishes the power of the State and Individual and limits the authority of the Federal Government. Using a very loose interpretation of the Commerce Clause the Supreme Court has established that essentially everything in this day and age has to do with interstate commerce and therefore the Federal Government has the authority to tax and fine whatever they want regardless of State Law and Individual freedom.

They can only tax people so far before the people throw their butts out on the street. They should be careful with this loose interpretation from here on out. Definitely the perfect reason we need to vote these clowns out and get fresh people in there that aren't lifelong politicians.

Prime example of people sit and complain about something, but every single Citizen can start an impeachment process.

When things get bad enough there will be an uprising. Things just aren't there yet, but if it keeps going it will get bad enough. It's sad that it has to get to that point and I hate it, but I think it is inevitable sometime in our future. I am proud to live in the country where I can hunt, fish and grow a garden. Not a gardner at this time, but I have plenty of experience thanks to my Dad.

This is why we are in trouble as a Nation. We all recognize the importance of government limitations and small government intervention. Despite that, Obama is leading in the polls and very well may get elected again to continue his tyranny. I believe that much of America doesn't care about freedom, they just want the government to take care of them, so they don't have to take care of themselves.

Are ya'll talking about the supreme court upholding romneycare? Don't forget that he is the one who introduced this in Massachusetts in 2006.

The politicians are only half the problem, the other half is the left wing liberal judges onteh Supreme Court are the other half. The politicians brought this junk up and it was the dumb booty judges that agreed with them. What is troubling is that one of the Bush conservative judges went with the left wing this time. IF you will remember it was a 5-4 split our way on the 2nd amendment. Now I am afraid to think what it woudl be if they voted on it today. The SC judges can bought as easily as the politicians can.
We are not too far from a revolution I don't think, at least I hope.

It was Chief Justice Roberts that was the deciding vote on this. He even wrote the majority decision in this case. You can't blame it on "socialist liberals" this time...

As it should be, a state by state issue.
